Mobilizing Investment
Reference: G-RFC 02 – USAID Southern Africa Mobilizing Investment – FY 2025 Potential partners are invited to submit concepts that present innovative ideas to catalyze and mobilize greater volumes of capital for investment by fund managers into various sectors to increase employment, decrease poverty, and reduce inequality in the Southern African region.
These ideas or activities will contribute to closing the gap in raising investment capital and help build an investment ecosystem that can identify and support a pipeline of viable investments, link capital providers and reduce the risk for investors, while testing new investment options in new geographic areas and sectors.
The ideas or activities should be innovative and carry a positive beneficial impact for the broader investment ecosystem in the region or specific country. The traditionally disadvantaged women and Black or indigenous owned funds and fund managers are encouraged to submit concept notes. The geographic focus under consideration for this notice of funding opportunity will be the Southern African region. Innovations with great potential for replication, scalability, or a direct impact on South Africa and the broader economies of Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, and Zambia may be submitted.
