Core purpose of job: The core purpose of the Senior Director: Strategic Resource Mobilisation and Advancement (SRMA) role is to lead and manage the provision of strategic direction, high-level planning, coordination, support, and reporting of resource mobilisation and advancement throughout the University and to implement certain strategic projects in line with the institutional strategy.
Key performance areas: • Provide strategic and transformational leadership for resource mobilisation and advancement • Ensure sustainable resource mobilisation and stewardship • Provide operational and logistical support for the Vice-Chancellor’s resource mobilisation and advancement initiatives • Develop and implement monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems for resource mobilisation and advancement • Manage human, financial, physical resources, and assets of the portfolio • Provide management, operational, and logistical support to the Nelson Mandela University Trust, and any strategic projects assigned to the SRMA.

Requirements: • Doctoral degree (preferable) • At least eight (8) to ten (10) years’ executive management experience • Proven fundraising experience and donor management • Proven skills in and knowledge of effecting sustainable growth within a university environment.
