Your full Professor status is underpinned by a highly recognised doctoral qualification and a postgraduate executive leadership qualification would be an added advantage. Contrasted against this, is your proven track record of at least 10 years as an academic leader, where you have overseen teaching, research, and executive-level administration in a higher education institution of similar size and complexity. You are highly accomplished in resourcing and managing a diversity of staff and students, especially in the context of leading institutional transformation, change and effectiveness. Your local and international knowledge and strategic understanding of the higher education environment and its challenges are deemed to be unquestionable, as is your extensive working knowledge of the legislation and reporting regulations that govern the higher education environment in South Africa. Undergirding your integrity and dependability is a strong sense of urgency and results-orientated style. You thrive on having a well-developed national and international network that lends itself to effective institutional growth. Your positive mental attitude and quick and decisive management style mean you will rapidly respond to difficult situations, as and when they arise.
