Climate Change Impact Modelling for Key Sectors in South Africa to Support the Implementation of the Climate Change Act The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, through the Climate Support Programme Phase IV (CSP IV), in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), is seeking to appoint a service provider to develop and implement a climate change impact
modelling framework for key sectors in South Africa.
This assignment aims to support the implementation of the Climate Change Act, Act No. 22 of 2024 by assessing climate change impacts, translating biophysical risks into socio-economic terms, and informing national adaptation planning and policy development. The work will involve extensive data integration, scenario
development, and capacity building to strengthen South Africa’s resilience to climate change.
GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa to participate in this tender.
