Accounts Payable Technician / Alternate Cashier

The U.S. Mission in Pretoria is in search of eligible and qualified applicants for the role of Accounts Payable Technician / Alternate Cashier within  the Financial Management Office.

We are looking for someone who can audit, review, and examine difficult and complex multi-source funded contracts, grants and cooperative agreements. Accounts Payable Technician’s review payment documents
for goods and services relating to multiple agencies project / program and general activities. The Financial Management Office is responsible for operating expenses, international and entitlement travel vouchers, and
US direct hire benefit and allowance payments. This position’s portfolio includes vouchers, invoices, advance requests, and advance liquidations in US dollars and local currencies from multiple countries. The successful
candidate will need to be able to learn how to use the U.S. government financial management systems as well as be able to understand the required security processes. The successful candidate will also serve as the alternate cashier at Post and be responsible for the full range of cashiering duties in support of multiple U.S. federal agencies, including management of USD and foreign currency accountabilities.
