METALLURGIST
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: B Degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or related engineering discipline * Additional courses(s) in process control will be advantageous * Code EB Drivers * 10 years’ experience in a diamond processing environment * Ability to conduct metallurgical process development / process flow analysis and/or design * Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of Advanced Process Control (APC) * Improve and optimise process
* Understanding of open cast and marine diamond mining operations and processes * Knowledge of relevant legislation * Mine planning and analysis * Financial and project management * Strong computer skills * Good business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking * People management skills * Strong leadership & managerial skills * Attention to detail * Self-driven * Ability to work independently with a high degree of responsibility * Good interpersonal

Duties:
Key duties will include, managing daily production, ensure optimal plant utilisation and throughput, identify development opportunities and design strategies for improvement, implement and monitor production strategies; activities; plans; reports and schedules, identify potential business risks and ensure processes are established to manage appropriately, prepare budgets and forecasts, maintain and classify all data, ensure effective plant maintenance and scheduling, ensure adherence to mining standards, organisational standards and legislative requirements, ensure implementation and adherence to health,
safety and environmental management programmes and objectives, manage and ensure proper people development and training.
