The Philanthropy Manager plays a key role in advancing the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) mission by securing financial support for teaching and research. This position involves cultivating relationships with donors, managing a portfolio of prospects, and developing strategic fundraising initiatives. Working closely with university departments, the role ensures that philanthropic efforts align with institutional priorities, while also implementing best practices in donor stewardship and engagement.
As part of the Development and Alumni Department, the Philanthropy Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify and secure funding opportunities. The role requires expertise in donor relations, proposal development, and financial stewardship, along with the ability to drive successful fundraising campaigns.
A strong candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, relationship management skills, and a passion for higher education advancement.
