The School invites applications for the permanent position of Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering.
REQUIREMENTS:
A Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering (with a focus on Structural Engineering).
A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, and
Evidence of teaching, research and successful higher degree supervision in Structural Engineering.
ADVANTAGE:
NRF rating,
ECSA Professional or Candidate Engineering registration, and
Evidence of generating research funding.
DUTIES: The successful applicant will be expected to lecture Structural Engineering undergraduate courses, as well as other Civil Engineering undergraduate courses; lead a Structural Engineering postgraduate course; participate in academic administration; supervise the research of undergraduate and postgraduate students and develop a productive research
programme.
