Underpinned by your Doctoral Degree, your experience in most aspects of higher education has afforded you the status of full professorship. You have a minimum of 10-years management experience and at least 5-years of which is at executive management level. You are no doubt an NRF- rated researcher or you are a globally acclaimed scholar, either of which serve as a recommendation. You are best described as a distinguished academic, with a sound track record in research and academic leadership, particularly as it applies to teaching and learning. As a strategic leader with academic excellence, you are au fait with cultural  and change management and have a talent for universal design in aspects of learning, curriculum development and transformation. You pride yourself in the knowledge and insight you have when it comes to the challenges facing higher education, specifically regarding comprehensive open distance and e-learning (CODeL). Not only are you committed to transformation in the academic space; you also have a proven track record in this regard. Your outstanding communicative ability, particularly when it comes to collaboration and teamwork, sets you apart from the rest. Results-orientated, resilient, innovative, creative, high regard for rules, well-honed problem-solving ability and innate ability in conflict management, are adjectives which also describe you. Because you are naturally analytical, matters like corporate governance, project management, budgeting, financial management and performance assessments, come easily to you. You are politically savvy and also acutely aware of the laws and other relevant legislation as prescribed by the Department of Higher education and Training (DHET).

UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR

You have a minimum of 10 years’ relevant management experience in Higher Education Institutions, with at least 5 years’ experience at an executive management level. This, together with your Doctoral Degree and extensive knowledge, experience and adherence to policy and regulatory structures, positions you for this rare opportunity.

You are best described as a distinguished university Administrator, you are a strategic leader with excellent academic planning and administrative skills, second to none. You pride yourself on your knowledge and application of information management systems, particularly when it comes to systems design. Similarly, you have an impressive knowledge and insight into comprehensive open distance and learning (CODeL). You serve as a proficient catalyst when it comes to change management, particularly regarding the challenges facing higher education today. You have an exemplary track record of sound transformation in the academic environment, while you take matters of stakeholder management, communication (written and spoken), collaboration and teamwork, in your stride. You describe yourself as being politically savvy, results-orientated, innovative, creative and resilient. Adherence to rules, corporate governance, problem solving and similar attributes are commonplace for you. Analytical by nature, aspects such as conflict management, project management, performance management, budgeting and financial management, are all aspects you are highly skilled at. You are comfortable and knowledgeable with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) laws and other relevant regulations applicable to higher education institutions.
